This Privacy Policy explains how Valmar (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit valmarskin.com, buy from us or contact us. The Store is powered by Shopify.

Information we collect

  • Contact and order details: name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address.
  • Payment details: handled directly by our payment providers, such as PayPal and Shopify. We receive confirmation of your payment, not your full card number.
  • Shopping activity: items you view, add to your cart or buy, and your order history.
  • Messages: anything you send us through our contact form or by email.
  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser, device type and how you use the Store, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use it

  • To process, ship and support your order, including order and shipping updates.
  • To answer your questions and handle refunds or replacements.
  • To prevent fraud and keep the Store secure.
  • To improve the Store and understand what our customers like.
  • To send marketing emails if you sign up for them (you can unsubscribe at any time) and to show you more relevant ads.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

  • Shopify, which hosts the Store and processes data on our behalf (see Shopify’s consumer privacy policy).
  • Payment providers, such as PayPal, to process your payment.
  • Fulfillment partners, including our order-management platform and the suppliers and carriers that pack and deliver your order. Some are located outside the United States (for example, in China) and receive only what they need to ship your order: your name, shipping address and phone number.
  • Advertising and analytics partners, such as Meta and TikTok, which may receive information about your visit through cookies or pixels to measure and personalize ads.
  • Authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights.

We don’t sell your personal information for money. Sharing data with advertising partners for personalized ads may count as “selling” or “sharing” under some US state laws; you can opt out as described below.

Cookies

We and our partners use cookies to make the Store work, remember your cart, understand traffic and measure ads. You can control cookies in your browser settings, and where required we ask for your consent. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where the law requires it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, California, Virginia, Colorado and other US states), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of your information. To make a request, contact us through our contact page or use our Your Privacy Choices page. We may need to verify your identity, and we won’t discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You can also make some requests through Shopify’s privacy portal.

Retention and security

We keep your information only as long as we need it to fulfill orders, meet legal and tax requirements and resolve disputes. We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

International transfers

Valmar is based in Colombia and works with providers in other countries, including the United States and China, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live.

Children

The Store is not intended for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.

We may update this policy from time to time and will post the new version here with an updated date.
